Taking Notice
At the suggestion of a thoughtful old friend, I read this Salon article about the intriguing phenomenon of Mormon Mommy Bloggers. This led me to Nat the Fat Rat, a blogger in NYC who has a poignant perspective and voice. Reading through various posts to discover said voice, I stumbled on a post entitled “In Defense of Small Things.” I am using it as the way to start thinking aloud a bit more. Because I think, though it is hard to feel confident about the position each moment of the day or each day for that matter, Nat the Fat Rat is right. Spending a day noticing things is a day spent doing something worthwhile.
My current assignment is to write something about what I notice. One thing. Every day.
Go.
